5 Ridiculously Priced Super Cars

For the majority of those shopping for a new or used car, finding a good deal and a price that won’t break the bank is just as important as the make and model of the car, if not even more important. Most of the time, people end up leaving a dealership or having it shipped from a private seller with an affordable cash car or one that has payments that are negotiated to be as low as possible. There are others in the world however, that belong to a very small part of the population that several automobile manufacturers have worked diligently to design upscale, top of the line motor vehicles. These vehicles, known as supercars, have a price tag that the average buyer could only dream of affording but it is still always nice to see the best of the best and dream about owning one of these amazing supercars.  While there are quite a few supercars, here are 5 of the most ridiculously priced ones on the market today.

  1. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

This car was designed for speed and in 2014, there were fewer than 9 units built altogether. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster has performance like none other and can reach speeds up to 220 miles per hour. This is definitely not the car one would want to take for a cruise down the highway but is one for the collectors vault to keep hidden away or show off when friends come over. That is, if you can afford the hefty price tag of $4.5 million.

  1. W Motors Lykan Hypersport

With an acceleration of zero to 62 in less than 3 seconds and speeds up to 240 miles per hour, the W Motors Lykan Hypersport is a supercar to be cherished by those lucky enough to own one. The headlights are encrusted with 220 diamonds (unless the customer prefers a different semi-precious stone) and the soft leather interior is actually stitched with gold. This is the first ever Arab supercar and one that is exclusive in design and luxury.  The body comes only in a coupe design and it gets more than 20 urban miles to the gallon. The W Motors Lykan Hypersport also comes fully loaded with a price tag of $3.4 million. If you think you may want one, you better already own plenty of diamond mines or oil wells because with a price tag like this, you have to already be beyond wealthy or be lucky enough to hit a major lottery to be able to afford this finely crafted supercar.

  1. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse WRC

Designed in Germany, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse WRC is a supercar version of the Bugatti Grand Sport. These supercars were build and released from 2011 through 2015 and with a price ranging anywhere from $1.75 million to over $2.8 million it takes the number 3 spot on the list of ridiculously priced supercars in the world.  Only 405 have been produced and this includes roadsters as well as convertibles. This supercar has a sleek design and can reach speeds of up to 254 miles per hour with its 1200 horsepower engine. This is a car that packs a lot of engine power in its small, yet elegantly designed body.

  1. McLaren P1

The McLaren P1, produced by McLaren Automotive, is a scarcely limited automobile with sleek features and Formula 1 technology just as its predecessor, the McLaren F1. This little beauty was manufactured in 2013 and only 375 units were produced in order to maintain the exclusiveness of the car. With its twin turbo charged 3.8-liter engine, this supercar reaches speeds up to 217.5 miles per hour and can go from zero to 60 in just 2.8 seconds. With a hefty price tag of just over $1.15 million, this little speed demon is in second place for the top 5 ridiculously priced supercars and it is most definitely a uniquely crafted and fast supercar.

  1. Koenigsegg Agera S

In 2014, Swedish auto manufacturer Koenigsegg built the Koenigsegg Agera S model which was designed specifically for auto markets that did not offer E85 biofuel. Built to run exclusively on low octane fuel is perfect for markets in Malaysia and other countries where there is no E85 biofuel. This uniquely designed supercar can go from zero to 62 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds and can reach speeds that reach in excess of 210 mph. This is a supercar that is not for the faint of heart when driving or riding shotgun as it handles curves eloquently even at lighting fast speeds unlike other automobiles. This supercar tops the list of ridiculously priced supercars with a selling price of $4.2 million and is not one that is easy to find, even for collectors of rare, expensive collectibles or fans of outlandishly priced supercars.

Being able to purchase a supercar may seem like a dream come true for those fortunate few that have been able to experience ownership and these supercars have been causing heads to turn and jaws to drop from the moment they first hit the pavement and regardless of what any other car may look like or sell for, it will take a lot to find something that will be able to completely outdo any of those that made the list. If any of these cars should happen to interest you, be sure to keep your eyes and ears open as you never know when a good deal may come along and you might just be able to snag one for a great price.
